Huge fuelling point south of Luxembourg City. Last LPG filling station before French border. LPG costs €0,99 per litre in France and only €0,45 in Luxemburg (Sept. 2020), so it's strongly recommended to fill up your tank here. There is a drive-through payment counter. You could easily tow a caravan or trailer through this lane and fill up with LPG. Just be careful with your side mirrors!

Many people stop on the parking anyway, to buy cheap alcohol and cigarettes. Aral’s toilets are often overcrowded and have to be paid for. There's a pedestrian tunnel to Shell on the east side, where toilets are also paid, but sometimes less crowded. Leaving this tunnel's eastern exit puts you right in front of truck traffic, so watch out where you are walking! Free toilets are available at the next filling station, Aire de Saint Rémy, about 25 minutes south, on A31 motorway in France ;-)

In summer, during peak-hours of departing tourists, a traffic-jam for this fuel station often tails back onto the motorway. It can take an hour to get through and fill up with cheap fuel. You can skip the waiting lines, if you drive on, take the next exit, drive back to Luxemburg city and fill up at Shell Rangwee in Howald. Or, if you were driving to Saarbrücken, you may want to fill up with LPG at Shell in Shengen. If you notice busy holiday traffic early enough, when coming from Arlon, you can also fill up with LPG at Aire de Capellen. You would take about 3 litres less of cheap LPG into France, but you will save lots of time. Alternative LPG filling stations mentioned here may have changed their opening hours, due to the Corona-crisis.

Vaste station de service, au sud de la ville de Luxembourg. Dernière station avec LPG/GPL avant la frontière avec la France. LPG/GPL coute €0,99 par litre en France et seulement €0,45 au Luxembourg (sept. 2020), donc fortement recommandé de bien remplir votre réservoir de LPG/GPL ici. Il y a un guichet pour payer, ou vous restez assis(es) dans votre voiture (système "Drive-through"). Vous pourriez facilement tirer une caravane ou remorque par cette station; il faut juste faire attention aux rétroviseurs!

Beaucoup de gens s’arrêtent sur le parking quand-même, pour acheter de l'alcool et des cigarettes bon-marchés. Les toilettes chez Aral sont souvent surpeuplés et payants. Il y a un tunnel pour les piétons qui mène au Shell au coté est, où les toilettes sont aussi payants, mais parfois moins fréquentées. En sortant du tunnel au coté est vous êtes sur la voie des camions, donc faites attention ou vous marchez! Des toilettes gratuits sont disponibles à l’Aire de Saint Rémy, sur l’autoroute A31, environ 25 minutes plus au sud, en France. ;-)

En été, les journées des grand départs touristiques, des bouchons devant cette station peuvent remonter jusqu’à l’autoroute. Vous risquez d’attendre une heure pour l’achat du carburant bon-marché. Vous pourriez passer les filles d’attente en continuant, vous prenez la prochaine sortie, vous retournez vers Luxembourg ville et vous allez vers Shell Rangwee, à Howald. Ou, si vous étiez en route vers Saarbrücken, vous pouvez également trouver du LPG/GPL chez Shell à Schengen. Si vous notez beaucoup de trafic touristique, en venant d’Arlon, vous pourriez acheter du LPG/GPL à l’Aire de Capellen. Comme ça vous iriez emmener à peu près 3 litres de LPG/GPL bon-marché de moins vers la France, mais vous gagnerez énormément de temps. Les stations-service alternatives mentionnées ici peuvent avoir des horaires modifiés, à cause de la crise Corona.

Enorm große Autobahntankstelle, südlich von Luxemburg Stadt. Letzte Autogastankstelle vor der Französischen Grenze. Autogas kostet €0,99 in Frankreich und nur €0,45 in Luxemburg (Sept. 2020), also ist es sehr empfehlenswert hier unbedingt voll zu tanken. Es gibt einen Schalter um zu bezahlen, wobei Sie im Auto sitzen bleiben. („Drive-through“-System) Es ist einfach hier einen Anhänger oder Wohnwagen durch zu ziehen und Autogas zu tanken; man muß nur vorsichtig sein mit den Rückspiegeln.

Viele leuten halten trotzdem am Parkplatz an um billige akholholhältige Getränke oder Zigaretten zu kaufen. Die Toiletten sind oft von Besuchern überfüllt und müssen nach dem Deutschen Sanifair-System bezahlt werden. Es gibt einen Fußgängertunnel zur Shell-Tankstelle auf der Ostseite, wo die Toiletten auch bezahlt werden müssen, aber ab und zu weniger stark besucht sind. Wer am Ostende aus diesem Tunnel steigt, landet direkt auf der LKW-Spur, also bitte sehr gut aufpassen wo Sie laufen! Kostenfreie Toiletten gibt es an der nächsten Tankstelle, Aire de Saint Rémy, etwa 25 Minuten südlicher, an der A31 in Frankreich.

Im Sommer, wenn alle Touristen am selben Tag losfahren, gibt es an dieser Tankstelle oft Staus die bis auf der Autobahn zurückschlagen. Da kann es schon mal eine Stunde dauern bis man billig tanken kann. Sie können an den Wartenden vorbeifahren, die nächste Ausfahrt nehmen, zurück nach Luxemburg-Stadt fahren und bei Shell Rangwee in Howald Autogas tanken. Wer in Richtung Saarbrücken fährt, kann auch bei Shell in Schengen Autogas tanken. Wer früh genug bemerkt daß die Autobahn voller Urlauber ist und aus Richtung Arlon komt, kann am Aire de Capellen Autogas tanken. Da würde man halt etwa 3 Liter weniger billiges Autogas mit nach Frankreich nehmen, aber sich dabei sehr viel Zeit ersparen. Die alternativen Tankstellen können, bedingt durch die Corona-Krise, ihre Öffnungszeiten geändert haben.
